It's Time To Play!!!

Through research, we have discovered that children learn very quickly through games. They tend to learn faster and have a better understanding of the subject when it is presented in the form of games.

Knowing this, we have included playing cards with this book to help you teach new musical concepts to your students. It is recommended that you use these cards to present the concept before having the students work on the exercises in the book.

In this book, we have provided game cards to work on note values, rests, time signature, line and space notes, alternating concepts, high and low sounds and notes on staff.

You may use these cards in anyway that you see fit. The goal is to teach musical concepts in a fun way. You may adapt some of the classical game ideas like memory game, matching game, I spy or simply make up your own game. You many also visit www.FunAndLearnMusic.com for more game ideas.

We hope that these cards will provide a fun way to teach your students and pique their interest in learning music. Though this way may be different from the traditional way of teaching, students really like learning more when it is presented in a fun way that they can relate and enjoy.

Music is fun and it is always a wonderful thing to have fun and learn at the same time. Have fun and be creative!
